About the Assistive Technology Center
The Center is a program of United Cerebral Palsy of Michigan. UCP Michigan is a non-profit advocacy organization that works for the productivity, independence and full citizenship of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
The Center was originally funded by a grant from Michigan Rehabilitation Services and the Bellows Foundation. We have evolved over the years and now primarily work with the school districts in Upper Michigan. We receive funding from the Michigan Department of Education Office of Special Education/Early Intervention Services to provide services to Upper Peninsula Intermediate School Districts.
We also partner with other agencies that provide services to adults and strive to increase knowledge about assistive technology in the community.
