Students at Michigan Tech designed this new device for us through Assistive Technology and Aging in Place, a project funded by the NAHB Research Center's National Center for Senior's Housing Research through a grant from the U.S. Administration on Aging. The device will lift objects up to 20 lbs. from gound level to counter height. Items such as commode buckets, laundry and groceries can be transported from room to room via this remote controlled device.
